One of the most frequently asked questions I get from clients and prospects is what the “secret formula” is for making Facebook marketing work for your business.

In other words, what does it take to get a great ROI on your efforts?

Let me share with you the story of a recent client because it’s a great example and I believe it will help you in your own business.

Here is what happened:

We recently took on a client who ran a Facebook page that was highly ineffective.

His content consisted of quote after quote.

He would post quotes from anyone – be it Christopher Columbus or Confucius.

We advised him that his content needed to be improved immediately.

Why?

There’s nothing wrong with some inspirational, motivational or thought provoking quotes, right?

That is true but the operative word is “some”.

You need to use this type of content in moderation.

The reason is, it is vitally important to have unique content that showcases exactly what you stand for, and also provides real value to your audience.

By only sharing news articles and quotes, you are not building any value.

All the stuff you offer are things your audience could easily get elsewhere.

Why is this important?

Let me share with you some real stats.

We posted the same offer, to the same target, with the same landing page on two Facebook pages.

We posted it to his page, and then one of our pages that has great content.

The results in lead volume and quality were significant.

We saw a 90% improvement immediately just by posting the advertisement on a page that had great content.

Never underestimate the power of providing valuable content to your audience.

You are generating trust and you are positioning yourself as an authority in your marketplace. Make sure the content you share is worthy of the value your core business has to offer.
