How To Use Facebook’s New Feature To Grow Your Business

If you are like most business owners that understand direct response marketing, you know how important it is to always leave a “call to action”  (CTA) in your advertising messages instead of just your logo and company website or phone number.

You need to offer something that your target clients can take action on.

For example, instruct them to “shop now”, “download”, “sign up”, etc.

The offer doesn’t always have to be a paid offer.

It could be a free report you’re giving away, a free consultation, a trial, a discount coupon code or a product sample.

Or, it could well be an offer to purchase something from you.

Either way, make sure you give an opportunity for the person seeing your ad to take action right away.

Don’t leave it to them to remember and seek you out some time in the future.


Because chances are, they won’t remember your ad two minutes after they first saw it.

The good news is, Facebook now allows you to include direct call to actions right on your fan page.

If you have a business page on Facebook, you now can add CTA buttons such as “Contact us”, “Use App”, “Sign Up”, “Book Now” etc right above the cover photo of your page, next to the “Like” button.

This option is a recent release from Facebook and it will be available over the next few weeks for US based business pages. They’ll release it worldwide in the next year.

Once you have the opportunity to add a CTA button to your page, I highly recommend that you do so right away.


Because without it, you’re leaving money on the table.

During a recent three week test, the Dollar Shave Club added a “Sign Up” button to their page and they saw their conversion rate increase 2.5 times.

If what you offer is attractive and in tune with what your market really wants, you’re doing yourself and your future clients a disservice if you don’t include a call to action on your page as soon as possible.
